Without any doubt the most important aspect of any self hypnosis session is the setting of your design. You've got to have an aim, ideally a written intention, before you even turn a hypnosis recording on. Your written goal should be a statement that sums up the precise result you need to experience after listening to the hypnosis session many times. For an example we shall think you have got the intention of being more confident.
First write down a statement outling your intent and change it in order that it becomes a confirmation or set of affirmations. Make it present tense and really positive in nature. “I am increasing my confidence everyday”, “I am self assured and self assured in every situation” and “I can feel my self-esteem increasing everyday” are one or two good examples.
Make sure that you do not include the negative aspect your goal or what you don't want such as “I am no longer low in confidence” or “My low self-image is getting better”. These statements target the situation as it is not how you want it to be. So remember keep the statement positive and only include what you do desire! While still in a waking state think how you would feel and look if these statements were accurate. Take a little time now and make a psychological movie of how you think the ‘new ‘ assured you would walk and hear their self warranted talk and see how they engage with people. Imagine what sort of feelings this person would be feeling. Construct a production in your mind that shows you as the assured person you need to be. See yourself being that assured in circumstances that often make you feel insecure, afraid or timid. You'll use this psychological movie during your self-hypnotic trance session.
Start by inhaling deeply. In thru your nose to the count of 5 permitting your lungs to grow and then out gently through your mouth to the count of 5 emptying your lungs. This could relax your body.
Focus your stare softly on a spot in front of you. Look for somewhere that's barely above eye-level while you keep your head straight.
Relax each muscle collection of your body beginning with your feet and moving up to your head. While doing this permit your eyes to shut when they begin to feel heavy.
Now take a big breath and on the breathe out mentally repeat your confirmation. Do this for a few cycles until you feel the affirmation starts to feel just like the actual facts.
Continue to respire extremely and imagine that you're at a film theatre. Straight in front of you hangs a huge wide projection screen. Up on the huge wide-screen start to project the mental movie you made earlier and let it run numerous times. Imagine you can hear the flick audience cheer and clap as the movie begins to run. Clap and cheer yourself as you watch that ‘other ‘ you acting how you need to act and exhibiting the sort of confident behavior you want to have.
So as to stay absolutely relaxed and in charge of your self hypnosis session continue to respire awfully and slowly.
Now imagine that you are floating up toward the screen. The audience is going wild as they know what is about to happen. They're cheering you on! Imagine that you float into the screen and become part of the flick. You land just behind that ‘other you ‘ facing the back of their head.
At this time take a step and walk into that ‘new ‘ you as you would step into a projection or as if you wear trying on some new attire. The new you is a perfect fit! Watch as the colours around get brighter, the sounds get louder and the scene gets larger. As you enter the new you, feel how it feels to be that person. See what that person sees. Hear what that person hears.
In the distance on the opposite side of the screen you can hear the audience going wild with delight as you perform and act as that ‘other ‘ you would act. Feel how good that feels.
Now repeat your affirmations as you imagine the ‘other ‘ confident you would say them. Feel and believe that these statements are right. Say them with conviction.
Now when you feel all those great feelings of confidence, self assurance and self-worth just permit the scene to begin to vanish. Count back from 5 to 1 and allow your eyes to open. Become completely conscious of your environment as you bring yourself back to physical fact but bring with you all those good feelings.
