Self Help: The 10 Ways To Fail In Life Almost Guaranteed

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

So you want to be successful in life? Is that what you want? Then you better stop failing and become aware of these 10 ways to fail in life.

You see, I’ve been asked many times for how to achieve success and weird enough, seems like nobody’s taking that advice seriously. Then I realized one thing – most people are ALREADY failing before they even got started!

The article I wrote below is slightly controversial compare to the normal goodie-type personal improvement advice because this is the TRUTH. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just open up a nursery home and take care of children. I want to tell you the truth straight to your face because I’ve been there and heard the garbage lies thrown everywhere.

Avoid these and you’ll automatically be on the right track (provided you want to be successful)…

1. Mixing With Losers
It’s a guaranteed way to fail in life with this. Whatever you like to do, losers will just tell you it won’t work and after some time, you will also become a loser. High five, welcome to the losers’ club. Something about losers you should know: they like to ‘recruit’ new people and are very comfortable in their shoes. They don’t welcome “changes.” So when you see someone with any of these two characteristics, you know what you should do.

2. Don’t Know What You Want
The most common goal I hear all of the time is, “I want to be rich”. I mean it’s fine with that generic goal but the problem is, how rich do you want to be? Or how rich is rich? Put it this way – the methods used to make a million and $3,000 are different. No wonder some people couldn’t experience breakthroughs in life because they are playing small for big goals. If you want to make a million, you better put in that level of commitment, bucko.

3. You Want Everything
It’s nice to have a lot of things but if you go chasing everything, you get nothing. Let me tell you why – you only have 24 hours a day and you’ve got to focus on your priorities. I know, I know, you can hire others and so on but the fact is, you’ve got to want ‘something’ first to lead to another ‘something’, then to everything. Make sense?

4. Watching the “Secrets” Way Too Much
I’m not here to criticize Law of Attraction (LOA) and don’t want to receive hate emails. As a matter of fact, I do believe in it and have friends who appeared in the “Secrets.” But it’s a surefire way to fail if you keep on watching the “Secrets” and doing ‘attraction’ by sitting down on your floor manifesting 3 hours a day. In my point of view, scientifically, Law of Attraction runs on the concept of ‘believing’. When you believe you can achieve your goal, you will take actions to actually achieve it but if you don’t understand this basic element and think LOA is some sort of miracle remedy, oh boy, you’re in for a big surprise for failure.

5. You Don’t Truly Know Why You Want Success
Wanting everything is bad enough – but it gets even worse if you don’t even know the reason why you’re trying to achieve your goal. What’s the deal? Without a solid reason, a compelling reason, where are you going to find the motivation and encouragement for you to overcome obstacles? You think it’s going to be fun ride to success? Then you haven’t been traveling – it’s a rocky road, my friend. Most people failed to achieve their goals because they never complete the journey– they give up half way (or at the beginning) because they cannot see the worth of their accomplishments.

6. You Don’t Remember Your Roots
The thing I get most irritated about is people who achieved success and never felt gratitude towards those who have helped them. Is it very hard to say, ‘thank you’? The law of reciprocity is simple – you return favors to those who helped you in the past. And maybe, they’ll help you again in the future. Remember this- it takes more than just you to achieve success, so don’t be a jerk.

7. You Think You’re Smart
The day you stop learning is the day you stop improving yourself. If you don’t want to fail in life, make you sure you stop acting as though you already know everything. The fact is, all successful people are people who continuously learn to be even more successful. They don’t stop. Let me put it in this perspective – you don’t know what you don’t know, you know?

8. You Listen To The Wrong People
I watched this funny movie called, “He Is Just Not That Into You” and it just reaffirmed what I’m about to tell you. At the beginning of the movie, it shows a clip of a boy pushing a girl in the playground because he somehow doesn’t like her. He thinks she smells like dog pooh. She cried and asked her mum why did the boy do that to her. And her mum replied, “It’s because boys do that to girls when they like you.” Do yourself a favor, don’t get wrong advice. It’ll stick in your brain and lead you to make stupid interpretations in life.

9. You Think Short Term
You’ll hear this happening often in many ‘successful’ people’s stories – make a lot of money to lose it all. This probably because they became too comfortable and the other thing is, once you achieve success, you should ride on the wave when the momentum is there. When you think short term, you’re only going after the instant pleasure. You must learn to master ‘delay gratification’ so that you can enjoy today’s labor.

10. You’re Blinded With What Is Important In Life
I believe there are only two things that are important in your life – control of time and experiencing happiness. Money, love, big cars, diamonds, etc are the things that contribute to these 2 benchmarks of successes. For instance, if you have money, you don’t need to work so that you can have more time to do the things you like. It’s not the money that you’re trying to get but what the money CAN DO FOR YOU. I know this topic is bigger than one sentence explanation but I guess you get the point. You’re a smart fella.

Sidebar: Watch this free self improvement video for my success formula:

So now you know the 10 ways to fail in life. Question is, are you doing any of these? I’ll be BS’ng you if I said I don’t. I’m human dude, flesh and blood – I do mistakes too.

But I was fortunate to experience my fair share of success today because I learn powerful lessons from other successful people…

“It’s okay to fail and you should fail as many times as you can. That is how you learn but more importantly, you should never give up – each time you get kick dirt in your face, wash your face and ‘fight’ back. Don’t go crying like a sissy because Mum’s not going to come cleaning your face.”

Are you ready? Go get your goals.

Master Your Destiny:How to Change Habits and Enjoy the Process

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Monday, April 27th, 2009

Over the last 13 years I’ve transformed myself from a negative, insecure, and average person, into a positive, self-disciplined, and goal oriented one. I’ve eliminated many of my limiting beliefs and attitudes learned in childhood. I’ve established many positive habits. I’ve even learned to enjoy reading, studying and working, things I hated when I was a teenager. You could say I’ve become a professional changer. My life is proof that someone can totally change in a positive way. The biggest key I’ve found in making changes was to develop such a strong desire for changing that change became effortless and automatic. This strong desire for the positive state provides the necessary will power and self-discipline to make changes easily.

It always irks me when I meet people who think that a person’s past equals their future. These people don’t believe in the concept of self-improvement and this concept is what my life is all about. Most people have no clue that their only limit in life is in their imagination. If you believe it you can achieve it.

The initial thing that motivated me to make radical changes, was my discovery and realization of, “The Force; the Creative Power.” My immersion in the pure power, light and love of The Force was a life changing experience. In one day I became a new person with new priorities. This by the way, is the first technique.

If you want to be something greater than you are you need a higher cause or love to serve. Many people find that they can be extremely productive if they are helping a friend. When it comes to doing their own projects they never can seem to get motivated enough. For many years I’ve wanted to get into the self-improvement field but wasn’t motivated enough to be really productive. When I decided to do my own web site, I finally had a vehicle to serve a higher cause. Then I started dropping all sorts of time wasting activities and became much more productive. My web site is like my own child and I want to do everything I can to serve it. Now by serving my web site I can serve thousands of other people who find the information on it useful.

Some people say they lack the motivation to make changes. That is really the key. I’ve been able to change because I’ve developed an intense desire to do so. You must do the same thing. All humans are able to make changes and they regularly do. The problem is that many of the changes are for desires that take them away from their dreams. Most people I’ve found simply have not developed the belief in their own power to change negative patterns. That is probably because they don’t know a good technique that they can use any time they want to make a change.

The next technique in Controlling Desire is to link pain and displeasure to the bad habit and to link pleasure and happiness to the desired behavior. One of the things I do to create a desire for change is to read a motivating book on the subject I want to change. An example is changing my diet. Recently I decided to do an experiment. I wanted to see if I could develop enough desire and willpower to start eating a 100% raw food diet. If you haven’t tried this it is extremely difficult to give up addictions to cooked foods. When you give up cooked foods you realize that you were as addicted to them as if you were doing drugs. Cooked foods are extremely damaging to health and also extremely addictive. For more information on the raw food diet visit my Radiant Health Program.

Here is what I did. I bought a book by a person who is a prominent promoter of the raw food diet. He eats only raw and natural vegan foods. The book, by the way, which I highly recommend is, “The Sunfood Diet Success System,”   by David Wolfe. In the book, the author explains the many benefits of eating a raw diet and the extreme perils of eating the disease ridden cooked food diet of most of mankind. (By the way changing my diet has been the number 1 self-improvement strategy I’ve ever used.) As I read the book I linked the idea of the pleasure of experiencing the wonderful benefits of the raw food diet in my mind. I pictured myself needing less sleep and being more productive, things I’ve been trying to improve for a long time. Then I linked pain to eating cooked food. I knew from my own past experience that cooked food caused disease in me. So now I really associated in my mind as much pain and disease as possible to eating cooked foods. I even linked up the idea that eating cooked foods was like taking drugs. This worked well for me because one of my primary values in life is not to take drugs. Another primary value for me is to do anything I can to be as healthy, happy and long lived as possible. (Your values have a tremendous effect on your ability to make changes.)

Now I had problems changing my diet because I had to deal with my cravings for cooked food. So I developed a special visualization. I call it the inoculation technique. Anytime I had a craving I’d simply visualize all the pain I associated in my mind to cooked food. You have to reinforce your pain and pleasure links many times because desire can overtake you when your cravings are the strongest. You’ll start to rationalize that your old habit wasn’t so bad after all. Part of the reason we continue in negative habits is that we rationalize that on some level they are necessary in our lives.

I have some good news for you. If you stop indulging a habit for just a short time your desire for it will go away. At first you have to use willpower and the process of linking pain and pleasure to the behaviors you want to change. After a while, this new pattern becomes a habit. Now you’re a changed person. You still have to watch out for the lingering desire. Your negative desire might try to tell you it’s ok to smoke just one cigarette or to have a social drink or to eat a whole cake by yourself. That is when you need the inoculation technique. You must reinforce your reasons for making the changes. You have to see in your mind how much better off you’ve become.

Now lets write down two lists of the habits that you want to change. These habits can apply to anything at all you want to change. On the first list write down all the pain now and in the future that a particular habit is causing you. What will your life be like 5 or 10 years down the road if you don’t change your ways? Take the time to get your emotions involved with this list. Try to experience the pain of having a heart attack because you didn’t stop that habit of eating a bag of potato chips every night. This is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) technique called future pacing. Pain is the greatest natural motivator to change. All your are doing is taking control of pain so that you can make a change before the real pain sets in. Heck, if you don’t change soon enough you may not be able to change back-it may be too late.

The next list is your pleasure list or your ideal vision list. Here you’ll write down all the pleasure you’ll gain from your new positive habits. You’ll follow the same procedure as above, by getting emotionally involved and using future pacing. Imagine how much money you’ll earn by scheduling your day for your most important tasks as they pertain to your future.

Four Great Benefits of Spiritual Life Coaching

By admin1 · Comments (1)
Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Spiritual life coaching is an amazing gift to give yourself. We all know the difficulty in changing the habitual behaviors that do not serve us, and successfully taking actions that support our desire to live a full, abundant, and peaceful life. A life coach offers support and reflection that can keep us on track with our goals in life. A spiritual life coach keeps our goals in the context of our spiritual path. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

There has been much talk recently of creating abundance. Books and movies like “The Secret” and “What the Bleep Do We Know?” tell us we create our own reality and we can have all the abundance we want if we re-structure our way of perceiving the world. This information is valuable and timely, however it is skewed in a way that over-emphasizes the materialistic drives of the culture at large, and leaves us once again grasping for something outside of ourselves and judging ourselves if we do not make material gains happen quickly. Abundance does not have to stem from need, it can arise naturally as an expression of a life lived in integrity, with openness and depth of spirit present in everything we do. A spiritual coach helps us keep that thread of depth in the forefront as we move through the world accomplishing our goals.

A second great gift of having a life coach is accountability. Whether we are trying to create or deepen a spiritual practice, or working to establish a business, we all have habits that do not serve us, which we would like to change or transform in some way. (If not, then we would already have what we want.) Having an impartial participant in our process to gently remind us when our actions stray from what we are trying to accomplish, and to brainstorm with us how to make commitments that are doable, is of incredible value. A good spiritual life coach can help us stop punishing ourselves as a way to stay accountable, and instead offer genuine support to live our dreams. Refer to Life Coach for more information.

Coaches give us a clear reflection that is outside the loop of our friends, family, and coworkers. They provide an objective mirror that is not caught up in the drama of our world, and this non-judging clarity facilitates transformation and progress in all the areas we are trying to change. A good coach is not a substitute for friends and family, but gives support and inspiration that revolve directly around us, without an agenda of their own. This provides a vast boost of energy to help stay connected and joyful about manifesting our dreams.

Most importantly a good coach keeps us inspired. They remind us that working to realize our goals, or doing great things with our life, does not have to be a chore. Living and manifesting our purpose is a joy. Having someone in our court to keep us from grinding down and gritting our teeth; instead supporting us to stay energized and excited with life is invaluable. Our coach is then a loving cheerleader, supporting us no matter what the obstacle and celebrating our triumphs and successes.

Spiritual life coaches help us keep everything in the context of our spiritual path and highest purpose. They help us create a life that is a true reflection of our spirit, inspiring us to weave our spirit into all aspects of our lives. Give yourself the gift of joyful accountability, clear reflection, and inspiration by finding a great spiritual coach to work with. Visit Author for further information.

Set Your Intention From Your Desires

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Setting your intention is deciding on an outcome in advance – simply put, making choices that will direct your future. Setting your intention from desire will fuel the achievement of your goals.

Why is desire so important?

If you don’t have a strong desire for a particular result, you will likely not stay focused on your goals. You will find obstacles and roadblocks to be increasingly more challenging. Or if you get knocked down, you may find it harder to get back up.

When you have a burning desire, you’ll still experience obstacles and challenges, but the desire will be the boost that gets you back on track and pushes you forward.

If there were a straight and easy road to success we would all be on it. It would be crowded. But the way to success isn’t crowded; the top isn’t crowded. Why is that?

Because people aren’t driven by their desires and don’t set their intentions from their desires. They may also lack focus and are not aware. They are too easily thrown off course and do not engage the tenacity and the determination required. And the biggest barrier is the fact that they lack faith: faith in themselves, and faith in others.

All of these things are important:

drive

focus

awareness

determination

faith

When you have the desire for the goal, you’ve got to follow through, and you will more likely follow through when you set your goals from your desires.

Choose Your Outcomes
When you choose your desired outcome, you set your intention based on a desire.

Why do this? Having the desire gives you the clarity to approach your outcome with an intended result, and thus you are likely to achieve that result

You are already aware that you have the gift of choice. You choose how to respond to what shows up for you in your life, for instance. You choose what you will do with this valuable material that is now within your hands. And you can choose your intention.

As the saying goes:

You are at choice always, in all ways.

Achieving goals is not an accidental occurrence. Achieving goals is the result of a pre-determined choice.
You see, you have unlimited opportunities and these opportunities are everywhere.

When you believe this, and know this to be true, new opportunities will be revealed to you. If you do not believe this, you will be blinded to new opportunities, even though they are likely directly in front of you.

Throughout my home I have a number of reminder statements. One of them, which relates to setting your intention from your desires, is “If there is something you wish to experience in your life, do not “want” it, choose it.”

In this article you will choose your outcomes by setting your intentions. But before we do, let’s consider one of the reasons people never achieve their dreams.

Most people look at their own results for proof and validation of whether they can or cannot achieve a goal. When they can demonstrate that they were not able to create their opportunities in the past, or achieve their goals, they do not even bother to consider new possibilities.

People also look at other people’s results and validate their own decisions by other people’s negative results.

If you are looking for something, you will find it. If you are looking for an example to prove you can’t do something, you’ll get that answer. If you look for someone who has tried and failed, you will find the example.

On the other hand, if you open up your mind to new possibilities, and even though you may not have accomplished the goal in the past, you look for the example of someone who has accomplished incredible things, you will find it.

If you have an idea, then inherent within you is the ability to create it. You wouldn’t have had the idea if you were not able to manifest it.

It is important to reject the belief that if something has not been done in the past it cannot be done in the future. If our inventors had believed that, we would not be able to communicate via cellular telephones, the Internet and computers. We would not be able to fly across the country in a matter of a few hours, and we would certainly not be able to travel to the moon and return safely home.

Therefore, do not look at last year’s results or any other previous result to determine your outcome as you move forward. Decide in advance where you would like to be. This will begin the creative process.

Do you know what you want in your life? Are you already fully aware of your dreams? Do you know for certain what you would have, do or be, if you could have, do or be anything?

Discover Your Passion
Before you set your intention it is important to know what you are passionate about. Do you know what you are truly passionate about?

If you do, GREAT! Do this next exercise to confirm your passion. If you do not know what your passion is, pay particular attention to this next section.

Discovering what you are passionate about is simple to do. Simply think about what you love to do.

Think about what gives you the most pleasure.

How do you know you are passionate about something? Just recognize how you feel when you think of that thing. What do you talk about most of the time? What are you thinking about even when you shouldn’t be thinking about it? Which book section do you go to at the bookstore or the library? Which magazines do you buy or look through? What subjects were most appealing to you when you were in school? What do you do research on? What are your hobbies? What are the things you really enjoy spending time doing?

Start to think about some of the things that you’ve done in the past that you became passionate about.

Think about a time in your life when you were the happiest and the most peaceful and remember what it was that you were doing, having or being.

Ask yourself the appropriate questions. You will get the answers. If you do not have answers to the questions immediately, ask again and again until you get the answers. Try doing different activities – drafting, gardening, public speaking, lecturing, a sales profession, writing – and use your gut instinct to determine your level of passion.

Here are the questions to help discover what you are passionate about. Record your answers as you ask the questions and review them later. Keep these questions for future reference.

Your passion may change as you get older, or your passion may change when circumstances in your life change, so you may want to keep these questions handy for future reference.

You can also use these questions to determine your continued level of passion after you have set your goals, to decide whether the goals you have set for yourself are true for you.

Here are the questions to determine your passion:

What do I really want to do with my life?

What am I passionate about?

What do I love?

Where would I go if I had the freedom to go anywhere?

What would I do if I could do anything?

What would I have if there were no limits?

Who would I become?

What gives me the most satisfaction in my life?

What do I really enjoy doing in my spare time?

What motivates me?

What inspires me?

What excites me?

What drives me?

When I have had the experience of jumping out of bed with excitement, what was the cause?

What have I done in the past that has given me the most pleasure?

How do I want to contribute to the lives of others?

What would I like to give to others?

How would I like to be remembered?

If I were granted one wish, and I knew that that wish would be granted, what would I wish for?

You’ll know what your true passion is by the way you feel when you answer these questions.

When you reread your answer you will feel the blood rush in your veins. You will feel excitement and energy. You will feel inspired. You will want to get up and go!

Know your passion before you move on to the next part of this lesson.

Setting Your Goals
Are you a ship without a course? Have you decided clearly where you want to go with your life? If not, you need to get clear on what you would like to create in your life. Otherwise, you may float aimlessly around in an ocean of infinite opportunities.

When you choose to set your goals, you are setting the direction of your life. You are moving in a purposeful direction, with a clear understanding of the ultimate destination.

“I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.”

William E. Henley

Do you have your goals clearly written down?

Do you have goals for all areas of your life?

Do you feel inspired when you read them?

Most people do not set goals. Why? For many reasons:

they don’t know how to set goals

they don’t know how to achieve them and therefore do not bother setting goals

they are not prepared to do the work

they are afraid of what they’ll have to sacrifice

they don’t believe in themselves

they don’t invest the time to really think about it

Now you will become increasingly more creative and play an active role in the creation of your goals as we get into one of the most important exercises you will ever do: Goal Setting.

“Cherish your visions and your dreams
as they are the children of your soul,
the blueprints of your ultimate accomplishments.”

Napoleon Hill

When we decide on a goal, it is usually not the goal that we want, but the feeling we’ll get when we have achieved the goal. Ultimately, what goal setters truly strive for is a feeling, a state of being, such as happiness, peace, joy, or ecstasy.

Goal setting involves making a decision about an outcome and writing it down; we could call this “a dream with a deadline.”

How Do I Know My Goal Will Be Achieved?
Desire is the starting point of all achievement. When you set a goal, you are planting a seed. When you provide the seed with the proper nutrition and attention, the seed will grow. Everything that is required to manifest your goals is available to you through the energy and the natural laws of the universe. The ability to choose is one of our greatest gifts. We have the freedom to dream, to choose to have, be or do anything we desire. This is our birthright.

Inherent within everyone is the ability to achieve any dream we conceive. In order for the dream to become a reality, we must believe we can achieve it. When you set a goal, your mind behaves like a guided missile. Once a missile is locked on a target, even if the target moves and changes direction rapidly, the missile will adjust to stay locked on the target. Similarly, when a plane is locked on autopilot, it will stay on course and automatically adjust if knocked off course.

When you set your mind on a goal, and keep your mind on the goal, even if you stray from your course, you will put yourself back on course when you utilize your power of concentration. So set your intention from your desires and reach your goals through your intentions.

Try taking the coachability assessment to see if coaching is right for you.
