Getting Motivated by a Motivational Speaker?

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Friday, March 6th, 2009

In the past years, there has been a sudden rise of motivational speakers. They appear in television and in magazines as well as sold out seminars that are just brimming with people who are just craving to get some direction with their lives. For more information refer to motivational speaker

A motivational speaker, instead of focusing on the financial gains that he or she will most probably get from these seemingly “needy” people, should focus his or her attention to actually motivating people to actually be the best that they can be through their sheer motivation to change their lives for the better that is actually inspired by such a speaker.

A motivational speaker is, most often rather should be seen as, an expert, the one person who “normal people” can rely on when it comes to instilling positive thinking in them as well as providing them not just the answers that they want to hear but the answers that they would actually need and eventually help them with their lives. Speakers are actually regarded quite highly by the people who depend on them for the “answers.”

A good motivational speaker should exude confidence (not cockiness!) by being extremely knowledgeable as compared to most people, even one’s own colleagues about a specific topic. This is what makes speakers highly in-demand especially when organizers are trying to set-up an event or a seminar that aims to educate people about a certain topic. However, a motivational speaker shouldn’t just rely on book smarts to be able to help him or her throughout his or her motivational speaker career. Various experiences can actually help enrich a speaker’s expertise and knowledge about a certain topic. This is actually that will serve the speaker on a positive note considering that the audience during seminars actually want real affirmations of what the speaker is trying to teach them. People who are in doubt need the actual proof for them to be able to motivate themselves to believe. Go to Life Coach for more information.

For those who are aspiring to become a motivational speaker, here are a few reminders from public speaking experts that you should know before actually pursuing your dream as a motivational speaker as well as being able to get the attention of the people and companies who might want to get your services :

*First and foremost, for you to be able to motivate other people and get them out of the rut that they’re in, you must have a pleasant-sounding, clear and well-modulated voice. The type of voice that a speaker should have so as to be able to command attention. This is incredibly important because as a motivational speaker, or any kind of public speaker for that matter, you must be able to get a hold of your audience’s attention and make them believe in what they’re saying (this is NOT to say that you should “brainwash” your audience into doing something that are already against their will and moral standards based on what non believers of adhering to a public speakers advice). Still, having a good voice cannot assure you of a career as a motivational speaker.

You must also have the added charisma, charm, intellect, wit and sense of humor that can make people irresistibly drawn to you. Also try to brush up on current events or whatever new information that you may see as “relevant’ to your speeches. Relating your talk to present events or things that of interest to your audience would help capture your audience’s interests more.

*As a responsible motivational speaker, you must always keep in mind that you should value your audience because these are the people who actually took the time (and money) to be able to hear out on what you’ve got to say with regards to the topic on hand. This should actually motivate you to actually showing up on the venue on time, properly dressed and groomed as well as very much prepared for your talk. A good motivational speaker should know that people actually come to these seminars to learn new things from you and not just hear about rehashed material. They expect you, the motivational speaker, to be able to supply them with the information that they’re looking for, so always be prepared.

These are just a few tips to help you get started on being a motivational speaker. Remember, when it comes to holding your audience attention you must always be yourself. Be natural in your gestures. Absolutely no pretensions because people are incredibly smart and they can actually see through those who are just putting up a front. Visit Author for further information.

Self Improvement Article: Something About Money You Don’t Know

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Money- It’s the universal currency that all people are familiar with. So what is money? Or precisely, How do you “see” money?

Money means differently to everyone.

It can represent power and authority.

A measurement of success or contribution.

Maybe happiness?

Perhaps, some see it as only a piece of paper and they earn it just so that they can carry on with their lives. Once it’s finished spent, they’ll work again to earn it.

Now that you KNOW what money is, consider the difference between money and wealth. Money relates to your income where else wealth is define on the assets you have and how they’re being used.

True wealth has nothing to do with how much money you have in your bank or the car you drive. It’s the sense of well-being, knowing you are ‘rich’ – it does not need to be seen by anyone but just you.

As how many people view money in different ways, power, authority, happiness and so on – some also sees it as a ‘relationship’. Clarifying your relationship with money will determine whether money’s your master or slave – who’s controlling who.

So is your relationship with money is something stressful or a healthy one?

You see, if it’s giving you negative impact, no wonder you’re not striking gold. Simply because your unconscious mind will ‘prevent’ you from pain and push it away. You’ve heard about this a million time so I’m not going to write more about it.

The only way for you to know the answer is to look in the mirror and face the truth – because all of us hated or feared money at one time or another in our life.

When I was broke, money means a lot to me but that does not means I like it. Because the lack of it, I suffered ‘pain’. I was broke. But noted that I was never poor. You can take my money away and make me broke, but I will strive to stand up and play the game of money again – and win because I now know how’s the game is being played. So the only way to overcome disassociation with money is to “ACCEPT” money into your life without fear or shame.

So if you want to be financially wealthy, don’t just sit and practice ‘law of attraction’? It’s more than that.

Here’s the combination to attract money:

Right Mindset + Right Attitude + A Solid Plan + Proven Techniques + Taking Actions = $$$ Into Your Pocket

Right mindset could be how to attract money into your life.

Attitude? You can start with being patient to obtain wealth.

Solid plan will mean knowing what you want to achieve and how you’re going to get there.

Techniques are yours to choose.

Taking actions need no explanatory and this is the part that most failed.

So what does money means to you and how you make it to be on your side?

Your homework for today is to know this and it’ll definitely make you become a richer person.

Leaving the Comfort Zone of a Successful Career Could Be Good

By admin1 · Comments (0)
Saturday, February 21st, 2009

It can be very scary when forced to survive on unemployment because of a job lost due to the downturn in an industry. It can be extremely frightening when there are monthly house payments and other financial obligations to meet each month with little income coming in to pay for them. But, it may also be a blessing in disguise because it may force one to have to leave their comfort zone, and in doing so give them the opportunity to try a new and exciting career change. Possibly a career change that they have always wanted to try but they did not have the self-motivation to do so on their own. It is not easy to move away from your comfort zone and most people will not do it until a life changing event occurs that forces them to make the move away from what is familiar and stable to them.

Life changing events almost always occur before a person will make a dramatic change in their life. But, often times this type of change is just the thing someone needs to create a more fulfilling and successful life for themselves. Many people are unhappy with their current jobs and income but they are complacent to go along day by day living that way because they do not know how to make the change away from their comfort zones. It is typical human nature to try and avoid change. But, change can often be rewarding. Change will often present new life directions and better opportunities. for more information refer to Motivational Speaker

Many people lost their jobs during the massive high-tech industry downturn in the years of 2000 and 2001. Many were decent people who were hard-working and had families and monthly bills to support. They had worked for the same company for years and never suspected that anything like that could ever happen to them. They were devastated and worried about the future security of their family. Their lives were thrown into the path of change.

The overall slowdown in the economy with severe negative impacts to the high tech electronics industries made for few jobs that were difficult to get. But for some it was the lucky break of a life time, even though they may not have realized it at the time. The downturn in the economy had forcefully pushed many people out of their comfort zones, which in turn gave them opportunities to explore and try new things in their lives. And, this is when many people discovered that they could make money by running a business on the Internet. Many people learned that they could make more money working an Internet business than they had been making working in the electronics industry and that losing their job was actually a blessing in disguise.

Many of these same people discovered that it is not a quick or easy process to make money on-line. In fact, many also spent several thousand dollars getting involved in every program that came across their monitors promising them a great income. Some were fortunate enough to make a few dollars here and there, but later found out that consistency in producing income on-line was a difficult challenge to master. Many people bought and read every ebook and money-making program they could get their hands on, but they still could not figure out the key to high profits and success with doing business on-line.

There are many different ways to make money on-line, such as: being a reseller (acquiring resale rights to another person’s product and selling it), affiliate marketing, virtual real estate (VREs), Ezine advertising, membership sites, web space advertising, Adsense sites, and many more. One of the best ways to make money on-line is by having your own product to promote, which requires market research to determine a demand, and then product development to satisfy the demand.

Many people do not have their own product and have no idea how to develop one so it is often recommended that they start out as an Affiliate Marketer. This is where they sign up for someone else’s affiliate program and then market that person’s product or service and they are paid a commission for each sale they make. It is important to do some research before becoming an Affiliate Marketer in order to determine which products are in demand and if the percentage of the sales commission you will receive justifies the time and effort involved in making the sale. It is also important to determine if the owner is dependable and pays his affiliates as agreed upon. refer to Life Coach for more information

It does not matter if you market your own products, or the products or services from someone else, but a critical factor to realize is that “the money is in the list.” You have probably heard this a million times before, but unless you are actively building your contact list on a continual basis you have not fully understood the importance of these six words. Anyone wanting to make money doing business on-line should take serious note of this statement and put immediate action toward building up their own customer contact list. Do not procrastinate about doing this. It is critical for your success. If you do not know how then just conduct a search on list building and you will come up with thousands of references. Be careful not to be cheated out of your hard earned money because there are a lot of scammers on-line. You will be able to find a multitude of free resources you can use to start your list building process by doing a simple search on “list building” by using either Yahoo or Google.

To be successful with an on-line business you need to stay focused on one thing at a time and not jump around trying every program that comes along. It is best if you develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules and stick to them but still allow yourself enough flexibility for additional critical activities as they occur. Create a plan for saturating your primary marketplace and decide which products you are going to use to promote to that marketplace. And, always track the results of you promotions so you know what was successful and what was not successful.

It may not be easy and it will probably take you a considerable amount of time, but with focus and dedication you too can learn how to make a consistent income with an on-line business. At first it will be painful to be pushed out of your comfort zone, but in the long run you will have much more freedom and happiness because of it. A move out of your comfort zone could be a good thing if you allow it. for more information visit Author
