Self Improvement Millionaires

One of the hardest parts of trying to get your ex back is making the initial contact with them. People often contact their ex in the wrong way and make the situation worse. The best approach is a subtle and slow one. To begin with give them space and leave it a few weeks before contacting them.

This will give time for any animosity in the relationship to pass over. A simple email or text message is enough when the time comes to contact them, you don’t want to over do it. I think a text message would be better because emails can be easily missed. Emails often get lost amongst spam emails plus a lot of people don’t check their emails anywhere near as much as they check their phone.

The message should be kept simple, just ask them how they have been. If they reply then just take things as they come and when you feel the time’s right, ask them to meet as friends. You should wait a few days before sending any more messages if they don’t reply to you. You will look desperate and needy if start bombarding your ex with too many messages.

Some people have a knee jerk reaction when they don’t get a response within the first hour and send a load more messages. One message is sufficient to let your ex know that you want to speak to them again. Lots of messages will tell them that you’re desperate.

If after a week you still aren’t hearing anything then you need to try and ring them. This should be your last shot at trying to speak with your ex. If they still ignore you it’s time to take the hint that the relationship is over and it’s time to walk away. It’s an upsetting time to go through but sometimes there’s nothing you can do other than accept it.
